Coaching Boys Into Men
Athletic coaches play an extremely influential and unique role in the lives of young men. Because of these relationships, coaches are poised to positively influence how young men think and behave, both on and off the field.
On January 23rd, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we will host our next Coaching Boys into Men coaches' clinic. Coaching Boys into Men is an evidence-based, teen dating violence prevention program that trains coaches and provides them with materials to facilitate conversations about healthy relationships with male, high school-aged athletes. Our first coaches' clinic was in such demand that we coordinated a second!
The Northern Neck Sexual Violence Prevention Coalition, in partnership with Southside Survivor Response Center of Martinsville, VA, is excited to bring The Coaching Boys Into Men (CBIM) training to the Northern Neck. This training provides coaches with an evidence-based prevention program designed to teach young male athletes healthy relationship skills and that violence never equals strength.
