The Haven Shelter & Services, Inc. is committed to preventing and eliminating all types of domestic violence and sexual violence within our service area, which includes Westmoreland, Richmond, Essex, Lancaster and Northumberland Counties.

Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)/Domestic Violence (DV)

Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) or Domestic Violence (DV) is a pattern of abusive behaviors used by one individual to exert power and control over another individual in the context of an intimate or family relationship.

Sexual Violence (SV)

Sexual Violence (SV) are acts of a sexual nature which is non-consensual and is accomplished through threat, coercion, exploitation, deceit, force, physical or mental incapacitation, and/or power of authority.
